Located on a compact hilltop site overlooking Elliott Bay in Seattle, an entry courtyard garden and west facing garden terrace bookend this contemporary home. The entry courtyard is defined by walls clad in colored concrete planks, punctuated with bronze gates and screen panels, foreshadowing the elegant textures and materials found within the remodeled home. This courtyard space captures early and midday sun dappled and diffused by a bosque of crepe myrtle and adjacent katsura and cedar trees.
The western patio terrace captures the afternoon sun and overlooks a garden of jasmine, lavender, and dwarf Italian cypress...the foreground to distant views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.
